International customers, hear me 📢 We absolutely still ship abroad, but only from our Etsy Shop. Here are the reasons for that...
1. Shopify requires a higher tier hosting plan to be able to ship worldwide DDP "Delivery Duty Paid", which is much more expensive monthly. This does not include any assistance in the duties & taxes part of the transactions, it's just a "privilege" fee. 🙄 We'll eventually upgrade to that plan once the new website picks up some steam, but just can't afford it at the moment.
2. Collecting and remitting import duties & taxes ourselves is a big pain in the arse. There's a good service that handles the UK and EU taxes for a small monthly fee, but again, we still need to be on the more expensive plan to be able to use that.
3. Our Etsy shop is still alive & well, and handles all the duties/taxes for us...and you! You pay any applicable fees at checkout and your package gets delivered to your door. All you have to do is let us know what you wish to purchase and I will create a custom listing for you in our Etsy shop and give you the link to purchase. Easy peasy! This method does not violate any Etsy rules and they still get their cut of the sale, so everyone's happy 😊
I see a LOT of website traffic from other countries but only a few have bothered to ask. I'll be posting an announcement on the home page to make this more visible, but for those of you who landed here and read this...thank you!
